Rental Vehicles

Travelers are allowed to rent vehicles both in-state or Out-of-state from Enterprise, National or Hertz.  Rental rates and surcharges for each are as follows:​

• Enterprise / National (NA1403)​ - Rates Effective September 15, 2025
• Hertz (70592)​ - Rates as of July 1, 2025
• Hertz Surcharge Location (as of July 1, 2025)

Note:  Enterpise has now added large trucks in the State Contract.  Pre-approval requiremens still apply.

The purchase of fuel from rental agencies is prohibited.​

Renting from the Lafayette Airport is not allowed unless the rental agency is willing to remove all extra rental fees such as the customer facility charge and concession fee.​

Cardholders are only allowed to rent Compact/ Economy vehicles unless more than 2 people will be riding. ​

Larger vehicle requires prior approval from Department Head or designee on pre-approval in Chrome River.​

Rental Vehicles should be used prior to using personal vehicles for University Travel over 99 miles and Out-of-state Travel.​

Personal use of Rental Vehicle is not allowed.​

All Non-Employee passengers must complete and sign a "HOLD HARMLESS FORM".
