Fraudulent LaCarte Charges

If you have charges on you LaCarte card, that are in your Credit Card Items section, that you did not make, you will need to take the following steps to report the fraudulent charges on your LaCarte card.

  • Call the phone number (Global Card Services number) on the back of your LaCarte card to report the fraudulent charges.  Bank of America will cancel your card and order a new card.  The new card will be mailed to the Travel office, who will contact you when the new card comes in.  Typically can take 2-3 days.
  • Contact the Travel office by email (purchasing@louisiana.edu) to notify them of the charges and card cancellation.
  • Create a new Expense report in Chrome River.  The allocation should be charged to NREIMB.  When the credit shows on your credit card items list, it could take approximately 3 – 4 weeks, you will create another expense report and charge it to NREIMB.  (Funds will not be taken from your paycheck, this is for tracking purposes only.)
  • When you receive the no receipt warning, type “Fraudulent Charge” in the box.  No documentation is required for the fraudulent charge.
